gloomy box
近年、音楽的にひとつのジャンルに特化することなく、様々な音楽的要素を内包した楽曲を作るアーティストは決して珍しくないが、北海道札幌市を拠点に活動するバンド、オルターリードコードの1stフル・アルバム『gloomy box』は、まさにそんなジャンルレスな楽曲を詰め込んだ1枚だ。激情的でストレートな曲かと思いきや、間奏でラテン調に変化するところが面白い「PA・PA・RA・PA・PA」や、メタル、V系、アニソン調なイメージが浮かぶ「dummy system,fake core」、ミクスチャーっぽさ炸裂の爆音「サマーダンス」など、曲ごとに様々な表情を見せる。それらの曲が、大山亜理沙（Vo/Syn）のヴォーカルが乗ることで、ポップスになる化学反応がこのバンドの強みだろうか。特に、90's J-POPの懐かしさを纏ったタイトル曲「gloomy box」にそれを感じる。
