THE DOORS、Ray Manzarek（Key）が胆管ガンにより死去。Alice Cooper、Joe Perry、SLASHらも追悼を表明

THE DOORSのキーボード・プレイヤーであり、オリジナル・メンバーのRay Manzarekが5月20日にドイツの病院で亡くなった。74歳だった。Rayは、胆管ガンと診断され長い間闘病生活を送っていた。
バンド・メイトの死去の発表を受け、ギタリストのRobby Kriegerは、
“友であり、バンド・メイトであるRay Manzarekの訃報を聞き、私は深く悲しんでいる。私はこの数年、また彼とTHE DOORSの曲を共に演奏が出来たことを嬉しく思っている。Rayは私のなかで大きな存在でした。私はこれからも彼を恋しく思うでしょう”
と、声明を発表している。
そして彼の訃報を受けTwitterには、続々とRayの盟友たちが彼の死を悼みコメントを発表している。
